I grew up in a Navy family and settled in south-central Texas at the age of 10. I spent a lot of time trying on different skins trying to figure out which one suited me best. Turns out none of them did, and the one I was in to begin with worked best. I went to college at the University of Texas and graduated in 2006. I majored in History and Education with plans of one day becoming a professor - still a goal of mine. I married my wonderful husband, Bill, in August 2007. Our wedding present was finding out we were expecting, and our son Lucas was born on May 5, 2008. 15.5 hours of natural labor and childbirth and aside from a squishy head, my son was perfect. I'm now entering graduate school to take one more step on the road to my career goals, but in the mean time I'm a stay-at-home mom to my son and our dog, Lily.
